ODE TO JOY

The aim of the activities is to raise awareness of the European Union, its history, its values and its official symbols.
Through the Ode to Joy activity the students will be able to explore the history of European Union, the European values and the symbols of Europe, among them the Hymn written by schiller and Beethoven.
The didactical path, designed for students of primary school, is structured as following:
– The first step, animated by a specialist of Europe and a musician, takes place in class and consists of a pedagogical presentation of the European construction as well as a discovery of the European anthem.
– The second step, held by a specialist of Europe and a musician, takes place in class and consists of a pedagogical presentation of European values and symbols. The students start to write lyrics for the European anthem.
– The third step is dedicated to the performance of the song realized by the students, on May 9, for the European day.
