Europe is now at the heart of the debate. This is legitimate, as democratic debate is a central issue in the European project. It must also be built on realities. The European construction gives rise to all kinds of misconceptions that feed rumours or fantasies… With the Decoders of Europe, the objective is to answer a series of questions or accusations, explaining what constitutes the reality and sometimes the complexity of European policies. Beyond these explanations, the Decoders’ aim is also to make it clearer about what works in Europe! Cartoonist Nicolas Vadot supports the project with humour… and prevents the construction of European standards on fake news!
National Dissemination events
Poland - Targowa Centre, Warsaw
The Decoders Event in Warsaw took place on the second day of the National Festival of School with Class, on May 28th 2019. The previous day students and teachers participating in different programs of the School with Class Foundation showed what have they achieved during the schools year, shared the experience with others.
Croatia - Europski Dom, Zagreb
After workshops on learning about the EU and rights and possibilities related to European citizenship, held throughout 2018 and 2019 in high and middle schools in Croatia, extra questions about the EU were gathered from pupils. They were answered at the evening event held in House of Europe on 9th of May 2019.
France - Centre Paris Anim’ Nouvelle-Athènes, Paris
On 9 May 2019, the Ligue de l'Enseignement was able to celebrate Europe Day at the Paris Anim' Nouvelle Athènes Centre managed by the League. With the help of many associative and institutional actors, the French partner was able to propose a fun and informative half-day in the spirit of the "R-EU CONNECTED" project and the "Decoders of Europe".
Greece - Heraklion Auditorium Chamber of commerce
On Friday 29 November 2019, the Music School of Heraklion, in the context of the ERASMUS+ project KA201 R-EU-Connected, arranged a Decoders Event. It took place at the auditorium Kastellaki in the Chamber of Commerce, in the centre of the town. It started at 10.00 and finished at 13.00.
Italy - Castiglione del Lago Palazzo della Corgna
On Saturday 26th September 2020, the Organisation Tempo Scelto, in the context of the ERASMUS+ project KA201 R-EU-Connected, arranged a Decoders Event. It took place at the Della Corgna Palace in Castiglione del Lago. It started at 10.00 and finished at 13.00.
France - FINAL DECODEURS' EVENT
R-EU-Connected’s final event took place with the French partner, the Paris Federation of the Ligue de l’Enseignement, in the form of a "Decoders of Europe" event on March 11, 2021 at the René Cassin high school in Raincy (Île-de-France).
